Whitney Larson was named Assistant Athletic Trainer in August 2015. Larson previously served as a graduate assistant at SUNY Cortland.
At Cortland, Larson's responsibilities included athletic training coverage for the field hockey and women’s lacrosse teams, as well as general athletic training room coverage. In this position, Whitney also served as the host athletic trainer for the 2014 Women’s Lacrosse NCAA Division III second, third, and regional rounds.
While completing her undergrad at Springfield College, Larson was a student athletic trainer for four years at the University of Massachusetts. At UMASS, Larson helped with the men’s basketball program. In addition, she was a vital part of the Springfield’s athletic training program. She helped with softball, field hockey, men’s lacrosse as well as the Doug Parker Wrestling Tournament.
A Yonkers, NY native, Larson obtained a bachelor’s of science degree in athletic training from Springfield in 2013 and earned a master’s degree in exercise science from SUNY Cortland this past May. Larson is a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer, as well as New York State licensed Athletic Trainer. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, as well as the Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Association.
