LACROSSE PARTICIPATES IN LIGHT THE NIGHT FOR LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA SOCIETY
White Plains, NY- The Iona College women's lacrosse team participated in the Light the Night Walk for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society last Friday afternoon.
Members of the team helped set up the night at Burke Rehabilitation Center on Oct. 12. They helped unloaded boxes for the tents, hung posters and inflated nearly 1,500 balloons for the walk. Later in the day, the team participated in the walk raising almost $2,000 through online donations.
Light The Night is an annual Society event to raise funds for cures. It’s the nation’s night to pay tribute and bring hope to thousands of patients and their families.
Funds raised through Light The Night Walk support the work of hundreds of the world’s best and brightest researchers in their search for better therapies and cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
