CENTERVILLE, MA - Senior Sarah Jackson was named ECAC Division I Pitcher of the Week, it was announced Tuesday.  Jackson posted a 0.22 ERA over five appearances over the past week, fanning 39 batters.  

After earning the tough luck loss in a 1-0 game against Rutgers in which she allowed just five hits and struck out nine, the junior rebounded with a five-hit, eight strikeout performance in a 3-1 MAAC win over Saint Peter’s.  Against Siena, Jackson Jackson struck out 12 and allowed just three hits over seven innings in a 2-0 Gaels win.

The Gaels conclude the regular season Sunday when they host Marist in the team's final MAAC doubleheader of the season.  Iona sits atop the MAAC standings with a record of 11-3 in conference play, and looks to clinch its second regular season championship in three years this Sunday.
