BUFFALO WILD WING STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Melissa Frederick, Women’s Soccer

Iona College women’s soccer sophomore Meliss Frederick was named the Buffalo Wild Wings Student-Athlete of the Week after being named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week after scoring the game-winning goal for the Gaels against Rhode Island. 

Frederick’s tally gave the team their first victory of the season in the 2-1 double overtime contest. The game clinching goal was scored in the 108th minute of play.  For Frederick, this was her fifth career goal and first game-winner. 

For her efforts, Frederick was also named the College Sports Madness MAAC Player of the Week.
