BUFFALO WILD WING STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Alicja Pawelec, Volleyball 

Iona College volleyball junior Alicja Pawelec was named the Buffalo Wild Wings Student-Athlete of the Week after helping her team to a victory over Saint Peter's over the weekend. 

Pawelec recorded 50 kills in three matches this past week averaging 4.55 kills per set.  She hit .230 in 126 attack attempts.  Pawelec also recorded 36 digs (3.27 / set) and five blocks (0.45 / set) in road games at Siena, Manhattan and Saint Peter's. Pawelec has a weekend-high 19 kills at Saint Peter's in a three-set win Sunday.  She posted an 18-kill, 18-dig double-double at Manhattan Saturday, her team leading ninth of the season.  She missed a double-double in the other two matches by just one dig.
