BUFFALO WILD WING STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK– Damika Martinez, Women’s Basketball

Iona College women’s basketball sophomore guard Damika Martinez was named Buffalo Wild Wings Student-Athlete of the Week after being named MAAC Player of the Week for the third time this season.

Martinez averaged 24 points, eight rebounds and four assists for the Gaels, beginning with a 17 point, nine rebound game against Marist.  Against Rider, Martinez scored 31 points, her third career 30-point effort, pulled down seven rebounds and dished out a career high seven assists.  Martinez knocked down 14 of her 19 shot attempts, shooting a clip of 73.7%.  In four career games against the Broncs, Martinez is averaging 25.3 points and three assists per contest.
