BUFFALO WILD WING STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK –Joy Adams, Women’s Basketball

Iona College women’s basketball freshman forward Joy Adams was named Buffalo Wild Wings Student-Athlete of the Week she earned her 11th Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week, as announced Monday.  The eleven honors tie the single-season mark set during the 2006-07 season by Marist forward Rachele Fitz.

Adams produced a pair of double-doubles for the Gaels in the team's two wins this week.  At Saint Peter's, Adams scored 14 points on 7-for-12 shooting from the field, and grabbed 15 rebounds.  Adams also dished out two assists in the contest.  

Against Canisius, Adams scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.  Defensively, Adams set a career high with four steals against the Golden Griffs.
