Jessica Paolucci - Volleyball

Sophomore Jessica Paolucci reached a career milestone over the past week.  On Saturday, Nov. 12 against the Canisius College Golden Griffs, Paolucci recorded her 1,000 career-dig, becoming just the 12th player in program history to reach that mark.

She currently ranks 11th all-time with 1,036 career digs thus far in her two year career.  Her digs per set average (4.56) and serve percentage (.953) also rank inside the top five in Iona program history.

Paolucci finished the 2016 season with 498 digs, tied for the 10th highest total in a single year.

Allison Nieters’ ('10) 2,682 digs and 5.87 digs per set average is tops among all of the current and former Iona College volleyball players.

Over the last week of the regular season, Paolucci and the Maroon & Gold went 2-1, earning straight set wins over Saint Peter's (25-19, 26-24, 25-18) and Canisius (25-20, 25-20, 25-18).  Iona dropped a tough five-set decision in the season finale against Niagara (23-25, 27-25, 25-21, 23-25, 6-15).  Paolucci had a season-high 28 digs against the Purple Eagles.
