Chartt Miller - Outdoor Track & Field

Senior Chartt Miller is wrapping up his collegiate career at Iona in dominant fashion.  On Saturday, Apr. 22 in Charlottesville, VA at the Virginia Challenge, Miller won the 5,000-meter race in a personal best time of 13:49.60.  He eked out Bryce Strode of Oakland by .30 seconds.

Thus far this season, Miller has to 20th ranked time in the conference in the 100M; he set it at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival back on Friday, Mar. 31.  In the 1,500M, Miller has the fifth fastest time in the MAAC, sitting roughly a 1.5 seconds behind junior Johannes Motschmann.

Miller's win at the Virginia Challenge is the fastest time is also the fastest time in the MAAC.  Teammates Kieran Clements and Gilbert Kirui, who placed 11th and 17th in the same race, have the second and third ranked times at 14:02.58 and 14:11.96.

On Thursday, Apr. 27, Miller and the Gaels travel to the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA for the annual Penn Relays.
