Second-year post player that will compete for time in the Gaels front court and adds tremendous size and athleticism to the Gaels front line... Appeared in 20 games and made one start for Iona in his rookie campaign... Averaged 1.9 points and 1.5 rebounds in 6.2 minutes per game... Scored a season-high four points on six different occasions... Recorded five rebounds twice, at Fairleigh Dickinson and at Fairfield... Big, strong performer that will see action at the power forward and center positions as a rookie... Physical player who is not afraid to throw his body around on the offensive end... Hard-nosed defensive style makes him a tough one-on-one defender in the post.

AS A FRESHMAN (2009-10):
Made his Iona debut at Hampton on Nov. 17... Sat out Norfolk State contest on Nov. 21 due to illness... Had four points and grabbed three rebounds in 17 minutes in a tough defensive assignment against 7-0 center Josh Lomers vs. Baylor on Nov. 27... Had four points including a thunderous dunk and a season-high five rebounds in 12 minutes vs. Fairleigh Dickinson on Dec. 23... Recorded four points and grabbed two rebounds in six minutes against No. 11 Connecticut on Dec. 27.. Had a field goal at Canisius on Jan. 4... Played 12 strong minutes at Rider scoring four points and grabbing four rebounds off the bench on Jan. 9... Did not dress at Loyola due to a stomach virus, the third different Gael to come down with the ailment in three games (McFadden at Canisius, Huffman at Loyola)... Hit his only shot attempt and recorded a steal vs. Niagara on Jan. 18... Scored two points and grabbed two rebounds in five minutes at Manhattan on Jan. 22... Scored two points and had two rebounds in eight minutes in win over Marist on Jan. 28... Had four points and a rebound in win over Loyola at home on Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14)... Matched his season-high in points (4), rebounds (5), free throws (2), assists (1) and had his first two collegiate blocked shots at Fairfield on Feb. 26.

As a senior in 2008-09 averaged 19.6 points in helping to lead Albany Academy to a 22-2 record, a berth in the NYSPHSAA Section II Class AA championship game and a No. 17 ranking in New York State Class AA... Was named All-League, All-Section II and NYSSWA Class AA All-State Fifth Team... Netted a season-high 32 points against Voorheesville on Jan. 30, 2009... No. 45 ranked prospect at the center position and one of the Top 300 recruits in the nation according to ESPNU's Basketball Recruiting website... As a junior he averaged more than 18 points and 12 rebounds per game for head coach Brian Fruscio's hoops squad.  He was named All-Colonial Council for his efforts... Also a three-year varsity letter winner for the Cadets' football team and was Albany Times Union All-Region performer at the tight end position... Played AAU ball for Jim Hart and Albany City Rocks.
