On October 31, 2009 three members of the Iona College cross-country and track team, Ashling Baker, Natalie Finnerty and Daniel Lipus, volunteered at the Atria Senior Living Halloween party in Briarcliff Manor. The volunteers, engaged in conversation with the residents and encouraged them to get involved in the activities. Ashling, Natalie and Daniel also kept the residents active on the dance floor. At the end of the party the volunteers helped serve cheese cake and apple cider. It was a very uplifting afternoon and the three members of the cross-country and track team are hoping to make it back to volunteer at the Atria again soon for another occasion or festivity.
