Eric Alston, Jr. joined the women's basketball staff as Assistant Director of Basketball Operations in July, 2011 after graduating from Iona with a degree in Marketing.  A familiar face behind the Iona bench, Alston was a four-year student manager with the Gaels after becoming the first male manager brought in by Bozzella in 2007.  He took over the head manager position for the 2010-11 season.

In addition to his work with Iona women's basketball, Alston is an AAU basketball coach for the Hooperstown Huskies Fifth Grade Boys team.  He was a member of Iona's football team as a freshman and is currently a part of the Step Team for Social Justice at Fort Washington Collegiate Church.

Alston is currently working toward a graduate degree in Marketing along with an advanced certificate in Sports and Entertainment.
