BUDAPEST, HUNGARY - Iona College women’s cross country senior Marion Joly-Testault finished 53rd overall at the 19th SPAR European Cross Country Championship U23 race Saturday. Competing for her native France, Joly-Testualt completed the 5000-meter event in snowy conditions in 23:21.
The race winner was Jess Coulson from Great Britain in 20:40. Germany's Liudmila Lebedeva (20:49) and Joly-Testualt's French teammate Clémence Calvin (20:52). Joly-Testualt was the fifth scorer for France who was fifth in the team standings. Russia, Great Britain, Germany, Portugal finished ahead of France.
Joly-Testualt last competed at the European XC Championship in 2009 finishing 26th in the junior event.
