NEW ROCHELLE, NY – The Iona College Athletics Department will host the 32nd Annual Goal Club Hall of Fame Golf Outing on Monday, June 3, 2013, at the Wykagyl Country Club in New Rochelle. The 2013 Goal Club Hall of Fame inductees include: Kyle J. Flood ’93, John J. Judge ’71 and Monica L. Judge ’70, Patrick L. Vaccaro P’89, Kevin F. Vesey ’82, and Martina Weber ’07.

Kyle J. Flood ’93 is currently the head football coach at Rutgers University, having completed his first season at the helm of the Scarlet Knights. Flood is the first assistant coach to be promoted to head coach at Rutgers since 1973. While at Iona, Flood played four years of varsity football, from 1989-92. He earned First Team All-Liberty Conference Honors as a junior and was named team captain as a senior.
John J. Judge ’71 and Monica L. Judge ’70 are tremendous supporters of Iona College and serve as members of the President’s Club, Gingko Society, Goal Club and Alumni Board. John and Monica were recipients of the Brother William B. Cornelia Founders Award for Outstanding Service as well as the Donald E. Walsh ’66 Award, which they received in 2011. John has served as SVP and CFO of the Safilo Group Companies in the Americas and Monica serves as President of the Iona College Alumni Association and Alumni Officers.
Patrick Vaccaro P’89 is a longtime supporter of Iona College, member of the Goal Club, and has served on the College’s Board of Advisory Trustees. Vaccaro has been listed in “Best Lawyers in America” for 20 consecutive years and was recognized as one of “The 50 Most Powerful Employment Attorneys in America” by Human Resource Magazine and Lawdragon (2008-10).
Kevin Vesey ’82 was a key member of the Iona men’s basketball team during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Vesey, who is among the Gaels all-time leaders in blocks, with 184, was drafted with the 144th overall pick of the 1981 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks.
Martina Weber ’07 is the most decorated women’s basketball player in Iona College history. Weber finished her career as a two-time All-MAAC performer and was named the 2007 Pepsi MAAC Player of the Year. She averaged 16.1 points and 6.7 rebounds in her two years as a Gael. She was drafted 29th overall by the New York Liberty in the 2007 WNBA Draft, becoming the first women's basketball player in Iona and MAAC history to be drafted in the WNBA.
In addition to this year’s Hall of Fame inductees, Iona College Athletics is once again proud to announce the inclusion of the Donald E. Walsh '66 Award to the Goal Club Hall of Fame Golf Outing. We are honored to announce that this year’s award will be presented to Marian Casali. This award will be given each year to a person who has demonstrated loyal support and service to Iona College Athletics through exceptional volunteerism.
