Marist Defeats Volleyball In Three Sets

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - The Iona College volleyball team lost a three set match at Marist in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play at the McCann Center. The Red Foxes took the match 25-18, 25-16, and 26-24.

Junior Catrina Warren led the Gaels with 12 kills. She just missed her fourth double-double of the year with nine digs. Junior Taylor Cembalisty posted eight kills and nine digs.

Sophomore setter Natalie Ziskin had her second double-double with 29 assists and a career-high 16 digs. Junior libero Katie Marabella had 12 digs in the loss.

Marist's Grace hill had 11 kills. Setter Audra Brady had 32 assists and 11 digs and libero Brooke Zywick had 14 digs.

After 11 matches on the road to start the season, the Gaels' return to New Rochelle for their home opener at the Hynes Center in non-conference play vs. St. Francis Brooklyn Wednesday (Sep. 25) at 7:00 pm.
