AS A SOPHOMORE (2007-08):
Appeared in all 32 games making nine starts... Averaged 5.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game... His 32 three point field goals was a career-high and ranked third on the team. Had three games with 10 or more points including a season-high 14 vs. Jackson State on Nov. 14... Started season opener at Robert Morris on Nov. 10 and had nine points in 27 minutes of play... Added six points at Princeton on Nov. 14... Had a season high 14 points and drained a career-high four three pointers vs. Jackson State on Nov. 24... Came off the bench to score eight points along with three rebounds and two assists in win over Delaware on Nov. 30... Scored five points and grabbed five rebounds vs. Loyola on Dec. 7 while matching a career-high with six free throw attempts... Had 10 points and connected on two three pointers at Siena on Dec. 9... Netted 13 points to have back-to-back double digit efforts for the second time in his career at UNH on Dec. 15... Had five assists while adding six points at Saint Francis on Dec. 19... Started second straight game and recorded a season-best seven assists in win over Western Michigan on Dec. 22... Tallied nine points and drained two three pointers at Loyola on Jan. 6... Added another nine with two more trifectas vs. Rider on Jan. 11 and is now one shy of his trifecta output from his rookie campaign... Had eight points including a crucial running lay up that proved to be the game winning bucket in win over Manhattan at MSG on Jan. 30... Did not register a point, but matched a season-high with seven assists and grabbed six rebounds in win over Saint Peter’s on Feb. 1... AS A FRESHMAN (2006-07):
Appeared in all but one game as a rookie (coach’s decision) and made 15 starts... Started eight of his last nine appearances to end the regular season... Had four double-digit efforts... Averaged 4.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, and led the team with 2.0 assists in 26.5 minutes per game... Came off the bench in Maroon & Gold debut vs. Winthrop at NIT Season Tip-off in Charlotte, NC on Nov. 14 before starting the next four games... Had a season-high 17 points vs. Sacred Heart on 7-of-15 shooting including three 3-pt field goals on Nov. 15... Also had a season-best nine rebounds... Had 13 points and dished out three assists at Rhode Island on Nov. 28... Had back-to-back eight point games on the Gaels’ Maryland trip at the U. of Maryland and Loyola on Jan. 4 and 6... Also dished out six assists vs. the Greyhounds... Netted four points, dished out a season-best seven assists and grabbed five rebounds vs. Manhattan while playing all 40 minutes on Jan. 12... Had six points and six assists off the bench at Canisius on Jan. 18... Had nine points and six boards at Siena on Feb. 1... Recorded back-to-back double-digit efforts vs. Rider and Siena at home on Feb. 3 and 9... Scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds in win over the Broncs... Poured in 16 points and had five boards in the loss to the Saints... Recorded nine points with four assists and four rebounds vs. Saint Peter’s on Feb. 23...

BEFORE IONA (CHARIS PREP/WESTOVER HS):
Four year letter winner at Westover HS for head coach Phil Hart in Fayetteville, NC... Father, Shaune Griffin was an assistant coach at Westover... Was the team’s second leading scorer as a senior in 2004-05, averaging 13.8 points per game, the fourth highest total in the Cumberland Country... Also averaged 3.3 rebounds and 4.7 assists (third in county)... Helped his squad to the NC 4-A state final game... Finished second in the county with 49 three pointers... Was Named First Team All-Conference as a junior and senior and Second Team All-Region in 2004-05... Averaged 13.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, and led the county with 4.6 assists as a junior in 2003-04... Led his team with 70 assists in 23 games played, 10th best in the county as a sophomore... Played AAU ball for Fayetteville Warriors AAU and Beach Ball Select... Former teammate of current Virginia Commonwealth sophomore Eric Maynor at Westover.
