With the Iona College women's soccer team down 1-0 to Niagara, freshman Gabriella D'Aprile scored on a penalty kick to tie things up at 1-1.  Four minutes later, senior Kendra Chisolm helped the Gaels to a 2-1 advantage.  Chisolm tore down the right side and put a shot on net, which was forced out by Niagara goalkeeper Ashleigh Bowers.  The ball deflected off a Purple Eagle defender and went back into the net.

The host squad came back from the 2-1 defecit to knot the score at 2-all before the 96th minute when Chisolm broke past the Niagara defense and netted the game-winner.Earlier in the week, Chisholm tallied a goal in the Gaels' 4-3 defeat to Canisius.

Iona will enter the MAAC Championship as the No. 4 seed.  The Gaels will take on No. 5 Canisius in the quarterfinal round on Oct. 30 at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, FL.
