The primary goal of Iona College Strength and Conditioning is to enhance the student-athlete experience by embracing the athletic department’s overall mission of shaping future leaders and building champions in athletics, academics, in the community and in life.

Iona College Strength and Conditioning supports the athletic department’s overall mission by providing our competitive athletes the means by which they develop attitude, work ethic, mental toughness, discipline and Gael pride. The student-athlete benefits from a comprehensive and individualized strength and conditioning program designed to ensure the highest level of athletic performance.

Furthermore, we foster a safe, positive, and entertaining environment that promotes both the physical and cognitive development of the student-athlete. Our strength coaches are constantly researching, developing and implementing strategies to fully maximize the ten components of a highly skilled athlete- strength, power, coordination, agility, speed, flexibility, conditioning, injury prevention, recovery, and nutrition.

We believe strength and conditioning is the foundation of a successful athletic career. The Iona Strength and Conditioning program positions our teams for greatness through a comprehensive “hands on” approach that helps each student-athlete Move the World.
