Link, Olsen Earn MAAC Honors

EDISON, NJ - After clinching the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Regular Season Championship, senior goalkeeper Kathleen Link and freshman utility player Amy Olsen earned MAAC weekly honors as the Gaels went 4-0 this past weekend. Link was Defensive Player of the Week while Olsen earned Rookie of the Week honors.

Link helped the Gaels with 36 saves in three matches. She allowed 17 goals for a goals against average of 8.50 and posted a .679 save percentage.

Olsen registered 11 points on nine goals and two assists as the Gaels went 4-0 in MAAC play for the second straight weekend. Olsen also had six steals, and six kickouts drawn in the four matches.

The Gaels conclude the MAAC regular season next Saturday with a pair of contest hosted by Villanova. The Gaels take on Wagner at 10:00 am before completing the day with a 2:30 pm tilt with Siena.
