EDISON, NJ - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference has named Iona senior Cecilia Leonard Offensive Player of the Week.  Leonard had a stellar week during the Gaels long road trip in California, accruing 24 points in seven games. 

At the Lancer Invite, she guided Iona to a 3-1 record, including a three goal, seven assist performance in a win against Azusa Pacific. Leonard's 12 goals overall for the week proved to be difference-makers in close wins over Redlands and Pomona. She also had 15 steals for the week, including five vs. Azusa.

Iona is back in action Saturday at 2:30 pm when they visit Marist to open up MAAC play.
