NEW HAVEN, CT - Sophomore Reilly Sullivan finished fifth overall in the 400-meter hurdles to lead the Iona College women's outdoor track and field team at the Yale Springtime Invitational.
Sullivan ran a personal best time of 1:06.95, finishing first overall in the second heat of the event.
Freshman Marlene Delices was 10th overall in the 800-meter run, clocking a 2:21.29. She was third in her heat. Sophomore Leigh Mazzella (29th, 2:28.50) and senior Jenny Kurz (58th, 2:42.02) also competed in the 800-meter event. Both performers ran season best times.
Delices, Sullivan, Kurz and sophomore Leigh Mazzella combined in the 4x400 to finish sixth overall in 4:20.64.
In the 1500-meter event, both sophomore Courtney Veilleux and junior Erin Brady ran season best times.
Freshman Margaret Moore competed three events, finishing 17th in the long jump, 18th in the 100-meter and 26th in the 200-meter dashes. Rookie Sheila Kearney was 19th in both the shot put and the discus events.
