EASTON, PA - The Iona College golf team completed play Monday at the Lafayette Spring Invitational, held at Northampton Country Club.  The Gaels posted a team score of 303 on day two, finishing fourth with a two day score of 611.  Hofstra University won the tournament with a team score of 600.

Junior Dylan Newman shot a one-under 71 on day two and finished the tournament fifth with a two day score of 148 (+4).  Junior Doug Hoppe was one of seven players to finish tied for 12th with a nine-over 153 after shooting a four-over 76 in round two.  Junior Scott Gallo finished tied for 18th after shooting a four-over 76 on day two and finishing with a 10-over 154 overall.  Sophomore Jordan Kral finished tied for 26th after shooting an eight-over 80 on day two and finishing with a 12-over 156.  Junior Andrew Graham tied for 58th with three other golfers after posting an 11-over 83 on day two and finishing the tournament with a score of 162 (+18).

Iona is back in action this weekend when they travel to Annapolis, MD for the Navy Spring Invite.
