NEW HAVEN, CT - Freshmen Reed Kochanek and Otis Ubriaco led the Iona College men's outdoor track team at the Yale Springtime Invitational. Both rookies were fifth in their respective events; Kochanek in the 800-meter run and Ubriaco in the 1500-meter run at Yale University.
Kochanek finished second in his 800-meter heat with his time of 1:57.23. Freshmen Nick Lachman and Robert Glowacky also ran in the 800-meter event finishing 20th and 26th overall. Lachman (2:01.47) finished second in the third heat while Glowacky was sixth (2:05.04).
Ubriaco was fifth in the first heat and fifth overall in the 1500-meter. He crossed the line in 4:00.89. Freshman Quinn Raseman (12th, 4:03.88) and junior Giovanni Signoretti (24th, 4:15.15) competed in the second heat with Raseman finishing second.
The 4x400 meter relay squad of Lachman, Kochanek, Glowacky and freshman Ronan Callagy finished second in their heat and sixth overall with a time of 3:40.42. Glowacky also competed in the 200- and 400-meter individual runs.
