EDISON, NJ - The Iona College women's soccer team had twelve members named to the 2008 MAAC All-Academic Team.  Iona and Marist both led all schools with the most players selected.

Earning All-Academic honors for the Gaels were seniors Suzanne Baldissard, Julianne Marinaro, and Devon Whalen; juniors Amber Blocher and Alison Moroni; and sophomores Liz Butt, Diane Hare, Kara Laperle, Amanda Luciano, Lauren Machtel, Liz Pettersen, and Laura Ruocco.

Niagara added 11 members, while Manhattan had ten athletes named to the team.  Loyola added nine players, while Rider and Siena each had eight.  Canisius added seven members to the team, while Fairfield had five named to the squad.  Saint Peter’s rounded out the team with three athletes.
