As part of Make A Difference Week (September 21-27, 2008), the members of the Iona College Football team collected numerous school supplies to be donated to Christian Brother Schools in Africa.

"We always stress to our team the importance of giving back, whether to our immediate community or abroad," said Head Coach Fred Mariani. "As far as the outcome and the effort put into gathering the supplies, it was astronomical."

Make A Difference Week is focused on engaging the Iona community in hands-on acts of service and social justice as demonstration of commitment to community service.
