COLLEGE STATION, TX - On Friday evening, Liam Dee aims to earn a spot in the mile final on Saturday by running in the premilinary mile race at the 2017 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Texas A&M.
Dee is scheduled to participate in heat two of the preliminaries on Friday, with an event start time of 6:45 pm ET/5:45 pm CT. The junior enters the weekend with a seed time of 3:58.19, the 10th fastest qualifying time in the field of 16 individuals.
Dee earned placement in the field by running the time at the BU Last Chance Meet. The England native is one of 16 individuals scheduled for the preliminary race, with all qualifiers having run a sub-four-minute mile to qualifiy for the Championships.
ESPN3 will stream the meet live on March 10 starting at 6:25 p.m. ET and March 11 starting at 4:55 p.m. ET. A re-air of the championship will take place on Sunday, March 12 starting at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
