SLEEPY HOLLOW, NY - The Iona College lacrosse team participated in setting up for a cancer walk called Light the Night.  The walk was dedicated to two specific cancer awareness causes, Lymphoma and Leukemia.

There were cancer survivors, current cancer patients and supporters that participated in the walk.  The Gaels helped with the set up putting lanterns together that the participants hold during the walk.

Additionally, they folded t-shirts that walkers received for participating.  There were tents that needed to be decorated and tables that had to be put together.  The dedicated members of the Maroon & Gold also set up where all the snacks, drinks and other food items for the walkers.

Every year, Iona College women’s lacrosse either participates in the walk or helps set up for the walk. It is a great experience and is really enjoyable community service.  They are thankful helping the community be able to have these walks and that our help is greatly appreciated.
