On
October, 8, 2010, head coach Tim Cluess and the Iona men's basketball team could think of
no better way to kick off their first official day of practice than journeying
down North Avenue
to lend a hand at Hope
Community Center. With
Brother Kevin Devlin in tow, the Gaels served hot food to the 125 that gathered
at the center.
Proud to be a part of the New
Rochelle community, the Maroon & Gold enjoyed the
chance to volunteer. Shortly before departing Hope Community Center
for the first practice of the 2010-2011 season, Coach Cluess gathered the team
to talk about the importance of giving back to the community and the
selflessness embodied in such acts.
