OAKDALE, NY – The Iona women’s rowing team completed the fall season with a second place finish at the Dowling Alum Cup Regatta on the Connetquot River located near the Oakdale/Randolph Campus.

The Gaels finished the competition with 62 points, behind MAAC foe Fairfield University, who won the regatta with 117 points.

In the first and second women’s novice 4+, the Gaels placed second both times with times of 7:55.44 and 7:18.8, respectively.

In the varsity 4+, the Gaels placed fourth in the time of 7:52.57. The Maroon and Gold finished second in the novice 8+, behind the Stags at 8:06.73.  In the V L 4+, the Gaels took second in eight minutes and second in the varsity 8+ at 6:44.33.
