Iona College volleyball freshman Catrina Warren was named to the 2011 COBRA Magazine All-Northeast Region Team, as announced by the Magazine on Sunday evening.
In her first season as a member of the Maroon and Gold, Warren finished second on the team with 247 kills, and a 2.63 kills per set average. The Rancho Cucamonga, California, native also finished third on the team with 555 total attempts and led the squad with a .314 hitting percentage.
Used as a defensive specialist at times, Warren led the team with 1.06 blocks per set and had 110 digs on the season.
Warren joins two other MAAC volleyball players on the list, which included Fairfield’s Brianna Dixon and Siena’s Jacqueline Skeen.
COBRA Magazine's purpose is to celebrate the success of volleyball players of African as well as Samoan and Tongan descent in hopes of encouraging young girls of those ethnic groups across the country to pursue the sport
