PRINCETON, NJ - Sophomores Katie Niblock and Kirsten Stewart led four members of the Iona College women's outdoor track team at the Larry Ellis Invitational at Princeton University.
Niblock and Stewart finished back-to-back in the fourth heat in the elite section of the 1,500-meter event. Niblock was second, crosseing in 4:28.59 with Stewart just .02 behind her. Both performers ran personal best times and qualified for the ECAC Championship.
Freshman Marlene Delices was ninth in the third heat of the open section of the 1,500. She was 28th overall with her time of 4:49.03. Rookie Lauren Calvino was the fourth Iona competitor in the 5,000-meter event, running a time of 17:57.40.
