BUFFALO WILD WING STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Steve Basile, Baseball

Iona College baseball freshman Steve Basile was named the Buffalo Wild Wings Student-Athlete of the Week after two quality starts, finishing with a 1-1 record.

Basile took the hill for two non-conference games against Fordham and Seton Hall. In the first game against the Rams, he went five innings allowing three runs on five hits with four strikeouts in the win. Against the Pirates, Basile also lasted five innings and allowed two earned runs on five hits and also struck out four in the loss.
